Hot Strat Singles

About to make some high output strat singles , around 12 -14ohms , anyone done anything similar and would you use 44 , or 43 for these? I could wind it and see but am a bit loathe to just waste the wire,

12K in the bridge works with 43, then less in the middle and neck. 44 gets a little too compressed sometimes, it starts to not sound like a strat pickup anymore. You should try it anyway and see what you think....
