i've got a late 60s reverberocket that doesnt turn on or anything. before it would turn on... i dont know why it won't anymore since it just sat in my basement for a while. i wanted to get it fixed a while ago. does anybody know where to find a comprehensive parts list for this? is it ok to change the power cable to a new one with a ground? i want to start with just the tubes but i don't know if i can see them all from just looking so i was wondering if anybody knows all the tubes in it? do they also need biased by a professional or are they relatively easy to swap out? thanks!
Schematic heaven should have the drawings. that should identify all the parts. Tubes just plug in, whatever bias is there now ought to be close enough. The problem at hand is to get it to work at all, worry about bias later. A dead amp should be basic troubleshooting.
Yes, you can replace the two wire cord with a three wire cord.

Did you check the fuse?I know it sounds too simple, but if you didnt then I would suggest taking it to someone who knows how to work on the amp.

Hi thanks! i dont know anything really...but i read the tubes should light up blue...is this true? mine are orange...are there 7591s in this amp or are they all still available? i replaced the fuse and it came on i figured that was why..but the problem is that it is super quiet...i don't know i thought i would start with tubes...is there any way to make sure they are bad before i go swapping them? sounds like some tubes are especially valuable or hard to replace...

Sometimes power tubes will light up with a blue hue in them, but the orange you see is normal.I would have the amp checked out by a tech, the low power could be from old, tired filter caps. Not uncommon for an amp this age.I havent tried any of the current production 7591's,the new old stock tubes are expensive.I wouldnt recomend changing the power tubes till you make sure the filter caps are up to par.If they are originals they for sure need to be changed. If you know they are over 10yrs old,I would also recommend changing them.
