Stompbox bias voltage

What should I do if the bias voltage on a tube screamer is showing 9v rather than 4.5v?

FInd where the voltage divider that provides that voltage is open. If it has slammed up to 9v, then the lower half of the divider is open. Other possibility is a broken trace, or something shorted.
