View Full Version : New 5F6-A Build Problem #1

I just completed a 5F6-A build and turned it on. No smoke, no sparks, no sound. I have to turn volume to about 12 o'clock to hear faint sound from guitar. However, the sound is almost like a super gainy distortion pedal. It does this on both channels. Any thoughts on where to start poking around?

Built from scratch, kit, or from a "donor"?

It was built from scratch, but based on the Weber layout. I used Weber PT W02298, and OT 022855.

The problem was sloppy soldering in two of the male RCA jacks.
