I Snagged this one for pretty cheap, but it has no markings anywhere that indicate who made this. It's got potential for sure, nice big Stancor iron, 400v secondaries. I got it because I like the shape of the chassis. I think it's going to be a JTM45 when I'm done. Who made this thing?

It looks like a Masco or possibly an RCA...

Looks like it could be one of those old RCA or Western Electric, PA heads.
Regardless... even those old gronks had great iron in them.

I opened it up and took a close look inside. Still no identifying marks, but it has been modified. OT and choke have extra holes underneath, and a couple of the socket holes were drilled with a hole saw. I'm just gonna gut it, and make something else out of it. I'm leaning towards maybe a Marshall inspired setup, using octals and el34's. I'm thinking about making a footswitchable parallel preamp stage, where the switchable stage is set up for higher gain, to add sort of a parallel boost when it's kicked in.

Looks like something off the set of an old "B" sci-fi movie spaceship console.
That thing would be "Zuzu Approved for Funk Factor" if he saw it.
Definitely worth making something out of, just because of how it looks!
