Dumb newbie Q - Pilot Light

Hi, I just started my first amp build yesterday, and I have a question. Should there be continuity between the two lugs on the pilot light? :o Thanks.

If you mean the socket all by itself, no.

If you mean the socket not wired but with a bulb ub it, then yes. You are measuring the resistance of the bulb filament.

If you mean the socket wired to the 6VAC, then yes. You are measuring the resistance of the 6VAC winding of the power transformer. And that is very low resustance. If it is wired to the 6VAC, having a bulb in it or not makes little difference to the resistance reading.
