Hi all
I normally use Celestion AlnicoBlue speakers in/with 5E3 style amps but right now I want something that comes close to a good late 50s Jensen P12Q.
What about the Weber 12A125? Looking for some experiences with that or other Weber speakers.
All my 5E3 style amps aren't stock, I do voice them for a somewhat tighter low end.

Chris-my only experience with Weber speakers is with the 10F150T.I used it to replace a Kendrick Blackframe in a Tweed Champ-like clone. The amp has a bigger power tranny gives me 360v on the plate of a NOS 7591 power tube,I have an Amperex GZ34 and a JAN 5751 pre-amp tube.It also has a beefier OT I got from Torres a few years ago made for a 6L6 SE.I was looking to tighten up the overall tone so I did a fixed bias mod,and changed from a 5881 to the 7591.The amp still broke up to much with the volume on 3.The Weber speaker really gave me a big improvement in headroom and overall tone.Everything is tighter from the bass thru the entire range.I emailed Ted before ordering and asked him to recommend a speaker to accomplish these goals and he was right on the money.Drop him a line,I am sure he will help you out,in my experience he is the best.

Chris,
The weber is an excellent choice for authentic 5E3 tone. I would also consider the 12A150 if you wanted a bit *more* headroom and bottom end from your speaker but to retain vintage tone.
