I put a very small nick in the outer rap of a malory150 cap with the iron while installing on my 5e7 board. Is there any need for concern. It is a very small nick, I would rather not replace if is not nessasary.

Ha ha... for a dollar cap and what it can do to you later if it fails, dump it anyhow.

Thank you for the reply Bruce. I will order a FEW extra caps, Just incase. It was not the dollar I minded. Every time I pull out a part it seems it never goes back in place as nice as the first time. Then again, based on your comments If the cap takes out other components I will have a bigger mess to content with. PS could not find cap prices on the web site.

I'll just give you couple M150s for nothing adn toss it in with those tubes you needed.
It just takes a little practice to get in close and keep the shoulder of the solder tip away from the cap bodies.
