New tubes for Traynor YCV20WR?

There's a Traynor YCV20WR I could get, but I've read it needs a tube upgrade from the start.

Does anyone have thoughts on this?

And, I guess I'm still wondering whether I should hold out for a different amp.

I use my amps for playing in a studio. I'm looking for something that will do justice to my Rio Grande pickups in my Strat. I'm playing a variety of music, but I need a studio amp with some headroom and the sound of a bigger tube amp. I guess it would be nice to suit my D'Ag 335 also. Is there a better option for about $600 I should know about?

Nevermind. I posted in the wrong forum by accident.

I got the Traynor, and it has JJ tubes in it already.
