I own a fully flightcased Redmere Soloist Amp which I have had from new and which has been in dry storage for almost 26 years and is in as new condition.
Could anyone advise me of what it might be worth please !!
Thank you

Steve,
It looks interesting!
Google "redmere soloist" (note the quotation marks) - it came back with this completed eBay auction and a lot of other info:

Thanks for this information Ray..
I don't play guitar and was bought it as a kid and just wanted to research it a little bit more before maybe moving it on to someone who might appreciate it.

Steve,
Hey. no problem - thanks for turning me on to a new amp design I'd never heard of before!
You could always throw it on eBay with a reserve you'd be comfortable with - it appears that at least someone out there wants one (did I see in one of the Google hits that only ten were made?).

All I know is they were made in Redditch in the Midlands many years ago and the company was taken over and changed name to a large electrical company name who's name has slipped me ! I really do believe there were more than 10made and was in full production, although researching them is pretty hard to come by.
I will post up the company that took over Redmere when I find the documentation I had with the Amp at the time.
All the best

Steve,
Thanks again - it looks like a pretty comprehensive unit, with typical starting-out flaws here and there. I can't believe the one on eBay went for so cheap, but that's eBay for you - sometimes things go for more-than-top-dollar in a bidding frenzy, and sometimes non-reserve items go for a pittance when an emergency comes up and the seller can't get to a computer in time to bid his item up. ;)

Dude I was just wondering if you still have that amp ....my dad used play one when I was a young nipper . His one is long gone unfortunately. I do remember he had terrible problems when trying to repair the amp as with it being so old and there being so little information available for it (schematics, switch and pot types)
IKf you were looking to off load the amp what type of money would you be looking for it ? Or am I wasting my time in even asking the question ?
Thanks for your time ,
Jimi
