howdy yall....anyone know where i can get a schematic for an electro harmonics q-tron?

i wanna try to add a resistor to the input so it isn't overwhelmed by active pickups, and also add a pot to the output to compensate for the boost i get when i kick it in........any thoughts appreciated.

thanks! :-)

Its a copy of the Mutron III. The only real difference is the (Effects loop, if yours has one) and the LED/LDR. The Mutron III used a custom unit and the Q-tron uses a Hamamatsu P837-13 module. From what you want to do, you should be able to use the Mutron III schematic. The pot on the output can be put inline with the output jack.

Now that I think about it, does adjusting the sensitivity of the Q-tron reduce the boost you hear? You may be overdriving the peak detector circuit with the active pickups. In this case padding the front end might be better than squashing your output with a pot?
