EMG with Strat P/U

Help. I recently got 2 EMG single coils for a song and want to use it with a normal Strat pickup.Can anyone direct me to a simple pre amp circuit to build.Im currently using a circuit that I found somewhere that use a FET.It works ok but seems to have some background noise I think its an Alembic Stratoblaster cicuit.Uses a K30a FET.The classic single coil hum I can live with. I only want to bring up the output of the single coil to the level of the EMG's when they are connected together.Thanx Hennie
