I just completed my Mission 5E3 kit. My quest for tone has ended. Thanks to those on this forum who suggested this kit. Kudos to Bruce for such a great service to guitarists and aspiring amp builders.

I finished last night about 11 p.m. - too late to crank it. Came home for lunch today and tested it properly, with three different axes. My fave combinations are with the Tele and the Les Paul. Tele gives a little more sparkle, even overdriven. Paul is just a fat mo fo. Strat sounded good but not as much personality as the other two with this amp. May have to experiment some more with settings and channels. I was surprised at the variety of classic clean and driven sounds this amp is capable of, especially considering some comments I've read that the 5E3 is a one-trick pony. I'll stick with one trick if that's the case.

This amp has exactly what I wanted and it's really cool and very satisfying that I put it together. Mission Amps get the big thumbs up.

It's good to see a happy first time builder. It looks like you did a good job, and I have yet to hear anything bad about Bruce or mission amps.

Be careful, amp building can become a cronic addiction.:)

Thanks Casey4s. You're right, I'm ready to start another project, after I set aside a little more time to play this one.

Beautiful work on your Princeton Reverb variation.
