Nice to see some members on the Les Paul Forum have spotted and taken note of Possum's latest video.

Wouldn't happen on the other Les Paul Forum.

Well I did tell those guys I have a new set, thought I would get attacked and eaten alive but some actually liked what I did, weird huh?

That's good. A lot of these guys have their favourites and are totally dismissive of anyone else.
I got a mention in this thread :
http://www.lespaulforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=145395
which is cool. I suspect that thread would have been swiftly buried on another forum.

This is one reason I like the Les Paul Forum. You don't get an army of spammers pushing pickups. I think everyone gets a fair shake there. It's good to see that you, Possum and Wade are getting a serious look minus the noise you find at the "other" Les Paul place.

just goes to show you that real PAFs can be improved on. The one I have is really a superlative example, in my video I did comparative sound clips of the real thing versus my new ones and am hearing that alot of viewers like mine better, I wasn't really prepared to hear that, I was kind of expecting the "forum" mentality where someone would try to rip me apart because they weren't perfectly exactly the same. I did point out they are different to begin in case someone went off on that tangent, my version is wound hotter and alnico 4 and covered, the original is 7.3K and uncovered, probably alnico 2, both are in different guitars. My cheap $200 STellar, nitro finish from the factory on Ebay is a better guitar soundwise than the Chinese Epi LP I have. I wonder how long its going to be before Korean made LP's are going to be going up in price because they are better guitars......
Good job Spence, I guess they are getting away from being the WB forum, that sure got boring...

Ah but none of those links were on MLP forum. They're all on the original LP forum. I always thought that one would be the more difficult to get any exposure on. Seems like they're more receptive which should be better for you Jon.

Oh, I thought the links were MLP links, duh. Well I can't read what they're posting at the LP forum, I'm banned for life there, probably because my spectacles aren't PAF correct spacing...

It's better for you, it's better for me it's better for everyone. The Les Paul forum does not tolerate the spamming or the sort of nonsense that goes on at the other place. It looks like WB is handing out Avatars to his spam army now at MLP. I will never waste my time posting at MLP again. If you like BS, spamming and needless drama then MLP it "the" place to be.
I have been on the Les Paul forum for years. There are members there that have been customers of mine from the beginning. Pay the $200.00 for the business classified membership. It's well worth it.

I've been banned for 5 years now because I didn't know you weren't supposed to put a business URL in your sig, Lollar was doing it and didn't know he paid money to do that. I guess I'm banned for the rest of my life, they really know how to hurt a guy.....

Well someone on there reckoned you were the guy in Wayne's World so you never know, they might have you back now they think you're a star.
The guy's called Outtahear;

As i sit and puff my Tiparillo, and sip my glass of Gin I often wonder why i go through the trouble everyday, with my clumsy hands, of building pickups to compete with the sharp and wippy pickup folks here on the forum. Why do i put myself through so much agony. Therefore, I have decided that I am going to change my business focus and put my freakish hands to better use. I will no longer make pickups but will now be building custom tambourines.
To give you a preview, my tambourines will feature:
**Eight magical pairs of nickel-silver alloy jingles for full-bodied 1966 vintage sound
**1907 "07" North American maple shell for unbeatable resonance
**An organic skin head wrap for more punchy percussive taps and thumb rolls
**All designed and engineered here in the US but built and shipped back from asia for the american market.
In the meantime, who would like to join me in starting a new forum for folks interested in the tambourine. I wonder if GJ stocks tambourine parts?
Sportin' my new dodgy tambourine hand;)

Someone from St. Lou ranting about Possum's P-90s on the FDP too. And KevinT, will you quit posting pics of the freaking hand! It's giving me nightmares. I keep picturing my dead grandmother trying to wind pickups with crochet yarn and bitching that I'm out of tea!

hey thats my favorite movie, I'm proud to be compared to those guys. Sheesh, someone always has to say something negative, at least no one criticized my damn hat this time. Those guys ought to actually go out and play somewhere instead of hanging around their computer all day waiting for someone to laugh at :-) Maybe learn to play guitar while they're at it. What was the name of Wayne's band, oh wait that was Bill and Ted and whats hisnames band, the something Ponys I think it was. Now those guys could rock!!!!

Sheepridge was OK actually. Never saw any sheep there though. Greatly misled. Lesley was fantastic though. Often wondered just how scarred I left her!
Greenfingers, the new website's up there but it's going to take ages to get it finished. I'm going to try and o some sound samples this friday now that I've got a better microphone. I just made a set of Supernaturals for a Peter Green fan. He absolutely loves them I'm pleased to say.
