I just acquired a Fisher 55-A from a friend of mine. Been told it is fairly valuable and was state of the art for the 1950's.
Really heavy with huge transformers.
It is a single mono block.
Any ideas what I chould do with it?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Sell it on eBay and use the proceeds to buy parts for a guitar amp build. Don't gut it and try to make it into a guitar amp.

I pretty much ruled out gutting it...though the parts seem to be real nice. Especially the transformers.
Thanks for the confirmation that selling it would be a respectable option -without claiming defeat or missing out on some crazy cool project by unloading it.
