Hello everyone,

I am about to modify my crate blue voodoo amp and turn it into something like a bogner xtc. The schematics line up pretty nicely for the transformation, with the exception of the tone stack and cathode follower.

Anyways, I'm also interested in getting a mesa mark type of sound and I wrote out a mod that incorporated two XTC gain stages and 2 mesa mark gain stages (from the lead section of the amp)

So I'm curious how the different high pass filters before the voltage dividers will effect the sound.

The bogner mod calls for alot of 470 pf caps and 470/500k resistors in parallel, which cut off around the mids

The Mesa has alot of more low-pass filters, along with a high pass filter (220k and 250 pf in parallel)

Basically, I'm wondering which gain stages have the greatest influence on the over all tone, and if I should keep things consistent throughout the preamp.
