I use some Lawrence mcfaddens lacquer, thinned a little. I usually have no problem just dipping and letting them hang. Within a few hours they are dry enough to wind on.

Today I dipped, and its been all day - they have wet lacquer just sitting on them...

Humidity and temp seems the same as usual... any ideas?

Other than that, what do you guys use to insulate? Tape, shellac?

I think Ive figured it out. I cleaned and cleaned to make sure any wax was gone the second time I dipped but apparently there was some left. Silly me.
