Hi there! I've got an ARION SDI-1 in the Japan version and would like to mod it. The distortion sounds really great. It has openness, nice presence and good dynamics. All i need is more output and a better bass response. As an extra i could try to reduce some of the harshness the tone circuit produces over 3/4 of the tone pot's range.
The circuit seems to be a combination of an opamp stage with diodes in the feedback loop and a fet stage behind that with further diodes.
Has anyone here worked with that pedal and can give advice? Does someone have the schematics? Is the SDI-1 probably of copy of an original design?
