Does anyone have a link to any articles, or forum posts on how distributed capacitance effects tone? I'm having a difficult time understanding this concept and could use a push in the right direction. Or if anyone feels like writing a definition/description that would be appriciated. I'm wondering what effect lowering the distributed capacitance has on tone. I was reading an old AMPEG forum post over the weekend about the theoretical use of Teflon Coated Magnet Wire, and it's low dielectric properties. someone wrote a post roughly to the effect of "you could cut your distributed capacitance in half".

While I understand that this is concidered a good thing, I just dont understand it's effect on tone. Does it effect it positively? Does it alter the resonant peak? Q?
