Anyone familiar with Rocktron Juice Extractor

Hi,
Looking around it looks like this is a pretty tech savvy forum. I am looking for some info or opinion on Rocktron (Holdsworth) Juice Extractor.
The unit specs say it is an 8 ohm load (input from amp) and "up to 150 ohm output" to speaker. My Power amp (Randall RT 2/50) can switch to accomodate 8 ohms no problem, my issue is that I have a 16 ohm cabinet that is hardwired.
Was wondering if anyone has any experience with these and if it can output to a 16 ohm speaker without any issues, or do I need to rewire my speaker? It is a 2x12 so should be able to wire for 8 one way or another.

I am planning on buying one of these on ebay and wondering what I need to do to make it fit in my rig.

Welcome to the forum, Tom.

The Juice Extractor wasn't designed to do what you appear to be wanting it to do. It's output isn't intended to drive a speaker; it's a line level output that's meant to connect to the input of a mixing console or power amp.

Thanks for the advice, I guess I incorrectly assumed it did the same thing that an attenuator or power brake does.

It doesn't look like it would fit in my current rig's needs then, Randall RM4 into a RT 2/50 out to a 2x12 Cab. I can push the preamp pretty hard already without too much volume, but want something to get the power amp's tubes cooking a bit more.

I will changeup my search and go back to looking at the THD's and Marshall Power Brakes.
