Impedance Switch Current Rating?

I am building a single-ended amp using 2 EL34s, and a Hammond 1640 SE OT. I was wondering if someone could tell me how to figure out the current rating for a 3 position rotary impedance selector switch. Thanks in advance. Yossarian.

Yossarian,

A switch rating of 4 amps or greater should be more than enough for a 50W-or-less amp using all taps of a 4/8/16 OT (roughly 3.6A @ 4 ohms, 2.5A @ 8 ohms, and 1.8A @ 16 ohms).
