  • Gibson GSS-100 Tremolo/Vibrato

    I've got a '65 GSS-100 (100-watt solid-state head)....the epitome of STERILE-CLEAN and semi-loud as well with a really boingy reverb.

Anyway, the trem/vib isn't working, either with or without the footpedal.

Has anyone ever worked on one of these amps and maybe has an idea what could be the problem?

    TIA,

    TD

    Is the footpedal working?
first try testing the footpedal by shorting the footpedal jack to ground on the amp to see if the trem turns on.

Another problem might be the trem pot, try cleaning/replacing it.
You have schematics for it? Could be the transistor or resistor burned out or a bad cap in the circuit.

Footpedal tests fine......I'll have to dig for my Gibson Master manual....
