  • 60 vintage stagger?

    Hi all,
I've been winding for a bit and have a bit of a quandary. I have a couple of sets of staggered magnets for a 60's setup. There are 4 lengths. Does anyone know, or know where I can find, the order they go in? The only ones I know for sure are the d and g, the rest elude me. I think I'll stick to flat poles next time.

    Thanks much

There's an info sheet on that on the stewmac site.

I know the one you mean, and I have that kit, but this is different. The StewMac kit has three lengths, but the polepieces I have are from a different place, and have four differning lengths. Its odd.

        Solution

So I had this thought, during that not asleep, not awake point last night. I have some Fender PU's with staggered pieces. They held the answer. It seem that the high E is lower than the D and G polepieces by just a fraction. Anyway, thanks for the idea.
