  • Seeking Tele Bass Flatwork

Just wondering if anyone might have flat work for a single coil telecaster bass pickup? I am wanting one to use to build a template from. I don't want to have to by a $55 one and destroy it. I have made a template from a drawing, but I would rather have one in my hand, as I have nothing else to compare it with. I would be glad to purchase a flatwork set, or two. Are these pickups all the same as the '51 P?

Fender didn't release the Tele bass until 1967. The 51 was a P bass but the pickups are probably similar enough. Good luck finding flatwork.

Thanks Jonson. I never learned how to program a VCR...I'll get the hang of the www by the time they come up with something else.

                          Bamberg

I was stationed in Bamberg in 1971 while in the Army. Lived in Halstadt for a while then. Been to Frankfurt, and Nurenberg. Do they still have "The Wall" in Nurenberg? If you don't know what it is, (was), I will leave it at that.

I could only window shop. Getting less than a hundred bucks a month I could not afford the finer things! ( And there were some "finer things" there! ) There were Hofner Beatle bass guitars, brand new, with a case, for $300.00, and I couldn't get one! If only I knew then what I know now...
I'm going to order some flatwork from there when I get enough in my paypal account, if he ships to the U S?
