Has anyone had a successful transaction with voodoomanswitches?

The only voodoo I've got is them making my money disappear.

Seriously though, I ordered a switch at the end of november hoping it would arrive for a christmas present. They rarely replied to emails. Twice they told me it shipped (the second time, they even sent me a tracking number, entered electronically, surprise, surprise, LJ52 6342 814U S with USPS if you want to see for yourself).

The website even listed the switch I ordered as being in stock! My bank has credited my account, but if voodooman can prove I got the product (I didn't), then they will recharge me.

    Anyone had any luck?

That tracking number isn't a format I recognize. What carrier was supposed to be the shipper?

it checks out when I put it into the usps tracking (I'm in canada, maybe they have a different format for international). However, it was entered digitally by the sender, so who knows if they ever sent anything anywhere.

not to be funny , but any shop that has that many different font colours and font sizes and that much writing is not an online shop run by anybody who really knows what they are doing... and would deter me straight away.

sorry that doesnt help you, but there is a lesson there.

Well I finally got my voodooman switch! only took over half a year of being left in the dark

              Ordered: 11/19/2009
              Order Confirmed: 11/20/2009

Followed by multiple phone calls, emails, STILL not a single reply.

Arrived 6/30/2010 (no note, no packing list, nothing just came in a box with the cord... hope it works!)

The worst part is these guys could have kept me happy with a simple email reply or phone call.

Wish I'd done my homework before ordering from this joker. I ordered and paid for a footswitch in March. Im posting this in July and guess what? No switch.

I also got 2 status updates saying it had been shipped. No replies to emails until I lodged a dispute with paypal. Then he sent me a USPS tracking number. But when I tried to track it the USPS site said that it hadn't recieved the switch.

I tried to get my money refunded through paypal but it was outside their 45 day cut-off period.

                Voodooman? Don't go there!

                  Hey Music-Electronics Forum,

I came across some information about Voodooman Switches, and wanted to share it. The business has a very bad reputation as shown on the Better Business Bureau website. Below is the link, if it will be allowed to be posted....

It has also come to my attention that the owner of Voodooman Switches is doing business as Black Label Switches. He doesn't have any complaints yet under the new name, that are posted, but the address is the same on both business reviews. Go to the following web addresses and check them out....

Did *you* buy anything from them or it's just your version of being a Good Samaritan?
Please post personal experiences, if any, not hearsay.
                    Thanks.

Yes, I did place an order, and never received it. After a month or so, I contacted them to ask where my order was, and received very rude comments in a return email. Still, no order was shipped. I was able to get Paypal to issue a refund. The problem remained that I really needed the footswitch in the time Voodooman Switches promised me, and it took forever to get my cash back. I did not have extra cash lying around to order from another seller, so I had to wait for my refund before I was able to reorder elsewhere. It was a huge mess. If a buyer does not contact Paypal for a refund within 45 days after the date of purchase, Paypal will "not" provide buyer protection, and the seller will "not" be required to refund your money.

Now, my question to you, J M Fahey, is... why would you confront me whether or not I had bought anything from them? Does it really matter? If you read in the paper that someone was stealing wallets on the street, would you not warn people to exercise caution, even if you had not personally had your wallet stolen?

Anyway, I thought hearsay was something that you "hear" someone "say" and then repeat it. To answer your question, I did not post hearsay, I posted facts and the website links to prove those facts. I came across the information myself, as I stated, and then I shared that information. You may feel that the Better Business Bureau posts faulty information, but I do not believe that they would post false information about a business.

If I offended you, or you are a friend of the owner, then I apologize. It was not my intention to offend the members here. My intention was to bring to light the way Voodooman Switches does business, so that others have an opportunity to make an educated decision whether or not to order from them. My intention was not to tell them they cannot buy from Voodooman Switches. If they choose to do so, even after they see the Better Business Bureau reviews, then at least they know what to expect, and it is their choice.

If your last post was just your version of being a Good Samaritan, looking out for the best interest of Voodooman Switches, then please post personal experiences, if any. Did *you* buy anything from them, and have a good experience? If so, then consider yourself one of the few lucky ones, because if you check and musician related forum, you will see a large quantity of musicians that were not so lucky.

I welcome other challenges, from you or other members. I'm not trying to piss anyone off, but I am not opposed to it either, if need be. You were right in challenging me on this, as it gave me the opportunity to get deeper into the issue, and to explain that I too had a horrible experience with Voodooman Switches. There is no need to be offended by my statements, as I was just rightfully repeating your questions/statements back to you. Thank you

Cool off, it was nothing personal.
And I do not know Mr voodooswitch nor couldn't care less about him or his shop.
If I need a switch I just wire my own . Not rocket science exactly.
It's just that you did *not* provide the information you are now posting, and the language of your original post followed the typical "alarm" spam mail format such as "URGENT NOTICE: do NOT eat XXX brand Baby Food, it contains Plutonium" or whatever. Maybe including links to "prove" it.

I think letsneck ordered a footswitch for a Sunn Beta amp. It's just three switches, two LEDs and some resistors and diodes. What makes it special is the four pin AMP connector. Without the connector, you have to modify the amp. That's the only reason to consider Voodooman. I identified the parts needed and posted them on the Sunn board. Another member substituted a four pin connector from a CB radio microphone. It fit in the amp pretty well.

If you are using PayPal, follow the rules and file a complaint on the first day allowed. It will get the seller off of their behind.
WARNING! Musical Instrument amplifiers contain lethal voltages and can retain them even when unplugged. Refer service to qualified personnel.
