Johnson 40W tube amp combo

Hi all,

Please excuse my inexperience in tube amps...

After reading on this forum for a while, I decided that I wanted a tube amp.
After searching several weeks, I came across a Johnson (model JA-40WT)
Has anyone seen one of these?

I tried to contact Johnson (using the Logo on the front of the amp because
there are at least 2 guitar amplifier manufacturers named Johnson) at johnsongtr.com
and they do not have any literature on this amp. They also do not show it on their
website.

It has 2 12" speakers, nice stained wood cabinetry, pretty pink-tinted copper
coloring for the knobs and control panel.

It has 2 channels (clean/distortion) and great reverb. On the back panel it
has effects send/return jacks, as well as 2 external speaker jacks (labled
8 ohm and 16 ohm).

I am the type who can't leave well enough alone, so I would like to find a
schematic on it before I try any mods.

Plus I would like to learn as much as I can about amplifiers in general.

My local guitar store sells something similar badged as "AXL AT40".

Get AXL Akita AT40 CCMusic - Valve Amps

I think they're made by a Chinese or Korean OEM and rebadged. Here's a review of the AXL version.
