Got an amp that works perfect for 5 minutes than goes to 1/4 volume and sounds like you just stomped on a big ole compressor. I'm thinking that one or more of these opto's are giving it up from temp but not positive. Just wondering if anyone else had any issues with this amp ? It's an Ampeg VL-1002 Lee Jackson and has 8 of these isolators in it.

Well sounds like you have eight places to stick your meter. Other than that, I'd be applying a steady signal and tracing it stage by stage to se where it goes away.Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned. -
Found a lost wondering screw around in there that luckily didn't find an arcing place. Did check those isolators and they all read ok so I'll know soon.KBComment
