  • Westbury Model 1000 - Very Noisy

Hello I moved my original thread to an area more fitting
    (orig. Westbury Model 1000 )

I've got my loud output after finding two cracking cement plate resistors. (The 0.47 5W on the schematic. There are 4 of them together) I actually just took them out and it's working. I'm going to find replacements for them though before I seal this back up.
Also, seems like the pots on the front panel weren't touching the chassis enough to make full ground. It works when I pull them closer.

Anyway... I get a very noisy output. More than usual as this room is not grounded (old house) I usually get noise with my other amps but this one is real bad. The cord is in good shape and I checked it for breaks and bad solder. Any other reasons??

    Thanks!
