  • How does inductance affect tone/freq response?

I have a inductance meter for winding my own coils for wah pedals. So how can I use this to "aim" for specific tone/ res.freq. on pickups? what might be common millihenries for "good" sounding pickups?

You just might want to do a little research.
There is no single answer to your question.
The inductance is simply one part of the equation.

Unlike wah pedal inductors, pickup coils have inductances in the Henrys, with DC resistances in the thousands of ohms. Pickups are therefore low Q inductiors, too low for many inductance meters to work with. There are many discussions of this issue on the forum. Search for "low Q".

Thanks, I have been happy with my results of materials. I am just making sure I am not missing something.
