Not sure if this would count as 'trade secrets' or not, but can someone tell me what would be a typical gauss reading *at the pole screws* for a 59-62 era P90? I've got a dogear that I was told is a 59 or 60, with two long magnets, and it reads around 400 at the poles, which seems awfully strong (in comparison to humbuckers) but then I don;t have a lot of experience w/ P90s. Anyone?

Yep, I realize that, I just currently have nothing as a basis for comparison other than humbuckers. So - are you saying this is a typical gauss for a vintage p90? This is what I'm trying to gauge here. Thanks!Comment
