  • DeArmond USA humbucker question, any experts?

Picked up a modified Ibanez recently. Prev owner installed 2 oversized Nickel covered humbuckers that read 'DeArmond, reg US patent, Rowe DeArmond Inc, Toledo Ohio USA. Theres nothing stamped on the bottom. Wondering if anyones familiar with them- are they korean, or USA vintage remakes? and any idea if they have any value. Thanks!

btw, they have a nice vintage sound, even tone and tonnes of clarity

      Hi
They are from the late 70īs. They used to be fitted on some of the guild guitars at the time (the sg models if my memory serves me right) and they sounded really good and were nicely put together.

      Cheers
      Andrew

Awesome, I appreciate feedback. On close inspection they do have an authentic 'road worn' look that would make them a few decades old. Thanks!

See my website Home. on the deArmond numbered items' page you'll see the Model 2200 which is what I believe you have. These (suffixes B for neck version and T for Bridge version) are genuine Toledo deArmonds.
