Warwick ProFet IV Switches to mute while playing after a while.

Hi,
I have a Warwick Pro-Fet IV bass amp, and recently, whilst gigging, it has been cutting out and turning itself to mute. The red LED mute comes on and the only way to get sound back is to turn the amp off and on again. Does anyone know what's going on? I know this is probably a fail safe, but what's causing it?

I think that this is related to the temperature of the heatsink in the power amp getting too high. Is the fan working correctly? It may be caused by problems with the power amp. Check whether the fan works and whether the output transistors are correctly attached to the heatsink. Another reason may be shorted speaker cable. Is the sound from the cabinet changed in any way?

I know this is an old thread but mine started doing this at a gig last night. I was able to make it through the gig but what did you do to fix yours?
