(O)aktron Speaker Cabinet - opinions?

Hello all,

I'm new here so I hope I've posted this in the right area...

I just bought this on eBay

It should arrive later this week. The lady I got it from sells a hodge-podge of items and wasn't able to tell me much about it, but for $10 bucks, I thought I'd try it out. I also couldn't pass up the cool retro grille! :-)

Anyway, has anyone heard of Oaktron (I'm guessing that's the brand, not "Aktron" as listed because I could only find info for Oaktron on the net)?

She said the cab measures 14" across and 14.5" high so maybe it's a 10" speaker? I am hoping to pair it with a small tube head for kicking around the house or for rehearsals. If it's loud enough, maybe jazz gigs. If it sounds horrible, maybe an end table!

Got the Oaktron Speaker... and a question...

I got this Oaktron speaker today. It was a $9.99 buy (plus $18 for shipping - ugh!) from eBay.

It's a 12" 8 ohm speaker with a wee little magnet. I wired it up into an Avatar closed back cab and was actually impressed. It's not very loud, but the tone is pretty good. Maybe my expectations were so low that I'm being too forgiving or maybe it's a keeper... not sure yet. I plan on cranking it up alittle more tomorrow because it's 1:45 am here right now.

Can anyone help me figure out how many watts it's rated at?
The code on the frame is OA-69U.
