  • Hughes & Kettner AS 64 schematic wanted

Recently I was given a Hughes and Kettner AS27 digitally programable guitar amplifier from 1984.

Apparently it is a prototype of their first model the AS 64 but lacks the midi control.
It has a clean channel and a tube channel with a 12AX7 at low voltage.
When I got it I was told that it was only making a very quiet sound. That wasn't exactly true as the clean channel is fricken loud and sounds just as good or better than any other good quality solid state amp I've heard. Only the tube channel is very quiet.

The circuit board has AS 64 printed on it so I'm chasing a schematic or some assistance debugging the tube channel.

Well, don't ignore the step of contacting H&K directly and asking.
Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

Eventually after putting the amp in storage for awhile, I emailed H&K again this time they sent me a circuit diagram. When I took another look at it I discovered fuse feeding the preamp tube that had blown. Now with it replaced the amp works great.

          Sounds fantastic.
