    tonequester here.

Greetings madkatb. just wanted you to be on the lookout for a money order that i sent you yesterday for the shipping on the " '57 special" that you sent me.
I keep it close, and read it often, taking notes as I go along. The tube info is great, and I was surprised that in '57 they were already getting into transistors. I'm still trying to make the donation to the forum. I don't use plastic(for good reasons) and I thought it would be simple enough to contact the administrators for directions and address to send it. However, they have not replied to my e-mails. I just posted in the chat room to see if anybody knows anything. Be assured that i'll get it to them by hook or by crook. Thanks again for the great book. I hope all is well up north. Were baking in the shade down here, but the projects go on, and I have just the book to help me thanks
    to you. tonequester.

I wonder why you posted this here.
I think this should be handled by PM or even by EMailing madkatb directly.

        tonequester here.

JM, I only posted here because I had tried the chat room to find out the information that I couldn't seem to get from the Administrators. I also got no help there.
I also don't have madkatb's e-mail. knowing that he frequents this "area" I used it to contact him. I don't plan to make it a habit. However, I promised to make the donation as Madkatb
suggested and I take that obligation seriously. I would hope that since the money is going to the forum that we all make use of, it would not put anybody's nose in a joint. I'll also restate
that which I have stated on several ocassions., I am not an electronics whiz. That's why I'm here for the most part. If I get the chance to help someone I will. I am not computer savy either.
This is my first forum experience. I don't yet know all of the ins and outs by any means yet. When I was a 4-color pressman of 20 years experience, I made it a point to never chew out a newbie helper. If I had a problem caused by his lack of knowlege, I merely taught him the right way to do whatever needed to be done in a certain fashion. I often had to repeat this process
until satisfaction was acheived. I was always held responsible for the helpers mistakes. I never failed to be polite and patient. In doing so I eventually became the full time trainer(in my spare time). There was no extra money involved, but knowing that my patience always paid off if I stuck with it, gave me great satisfaction when it was time for the trainee to move on to his/her own press. I knew that they would be successful, and safe. I would never tell a newbie that they needed to put their rosette in register, before I had taught them what a rosette was
and that registering was the alignment of the 2,3, or 4 colors that they were printing. This being said, the PM you are referring to is the rosette. Getting him/her/it to handle it is the act of registration. if you wish to explain PM to me I will listen and take notes. Now, is it proper to do so here or do we get together on one of the other areas of the forum. Don't get the wrong idea here. I'm not angry. It's just that if these kinds of things are that important, the forum would have the responsibility to BEFORE registration, put all of this on a page in simple language
so that a person can decide if they want to get involved or not. I know enough about the forum to realize that one should not use profane language, be derogatory to anybody else, post any
provocative pictures, videos, or sound clips, engage in idle gossip, and make an effort to post in the proper places, like guitar tech, as opposed to guitar amps. I have to admit thats about
it. I've always been up front with my lack of knowlege. I'm typing this on my first computer. It's a little over two months old. This 54 year old is trying to absorb as much as is possible, as
fast as is possible for me. The forum is a great place to share information. I wish that I were in a position to share more that would be actually helpful to others. However, I have not decided yet whether I will remain here for the long haul. Human nature being what it is, I have also encountered those who's chief purpose in life seems to be to put others in their "proper" place.
I have encountered the eternal "grumps"( "I've said this a million times but....), and perhaps worst of all, for all of the good factual information to be gained here, someone on my level
has to sort through a dozen opinions for every fact he gleans. And yes, I know that a lot of both music, and electronics IS a matter of fact. I guess I could have been much less a wind-bag, and just said, "Look, I';m struggling here. This is ALL so new to me. I beg your pardon. Please, be patient.") So if you wish me to contact the Prime Minister about the donation. I'll need to know which country you refer to. If you want me to handle it by night-fall, please give me a time. For some reason, you have had problems with the way I "roll". The problem is that I'm not "rolling", I'm a stumbling. You have given me some good info, I hope that you are not insulted because that was not my intent. given time and patience, I believe that I can fairly master
this forum. If anyone want's excellence, and want's it NOW, ........I'm not your man ! Best regards. tonequester.

big-teee, greetings. I got the message on my e-mail that you had replied to JM's post to me. However, I could not bring yours up. Strange. You can read my reply to JM if you wish, although it's long winded. I hope that it was taken in the spirit that it was conceived. If I see a man kicking himself in the a--, I don't jump into the line to add my #12 to his obvious attempt to demonstrate his dissatifaction with himself. Oh......if only we all could be perfect. Have a great one. tonequester.

Greetings big-teee, and thanks for the info. I've written it down for future use. I don't need it now as madkatb knows. The issue is simply how to make a donation by Postal Money Order to the forum, which only gives the option to use Pay-Pal. E-mails to the Admin. haven't panned out. I thought the chat room might be a place to inquire without arousing anybody's wrath. I didn't get an answer there either. I think that i'll just send it to madkatb and let him do with it as he desires. No-one can say I didn't try. Thanks again for the interest
and info. have a "good 'un ! tonequester
