  • vintage philips record player

Hello, I have this record player that is prety old and it doesnt work anymore. i have found a loose contact but i can't find the spot where it used to sit. maybe someone that knows about record players knows where i have to put it. Its quite an extraordinary cable that comes from a capacitor.

Here are some fotos if you watch closely you'll see red circles around the end of that cable

    Welcome to the place.

I tried to see where the wire was coming from and where it should go, but it was too hard to reverse engineer from your fotos.

Perhaps if you have a model number, you can find a schematic or a service manual for it. The way that the tubes have been set off to one side makes it hard for me to understand what is going on in there.

The wire that is loose is shielded and would normally carry audio signal from one section to the other, so that will help direct your search to the signal path.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my post, I have looked the internet for schematics but I think it's too old. It is a Philips type 2741/85
