The VOX Showroom - Vox V1031 Cambridge Reverb and V1081 Berkeley II Amp Head - A Look Under the Hood

Isn't it very similar to the v1081?

    vox-berkley-ii-v1081.pdf

I have a berkely ii head. I thought the cambridge was the combo version of the same thing.

RG Keen has a bunch of info, including transistor replacement info if you need it at geofex.com.

I wanted to document some findings regarding the box Cambridge reverb V1031. I am working on one and found your suggestions helpful. I used the v1081 schematic. I had an open reverb transformer secondary winding. I tried to find info about the transformer 80-5650-1. I could find nothing. Fortunately I was able to unwind it some and repair it. Afterwards I did some testing for future reference for me and others. It is a step up transformer, primary measures 54 D.C. Ohms and the secondary measures 120 D.C. Ohms. I applied 3v Ac to the primary at 1000 hz. The secondary measured 5.4v. Its is roughly 1:2. I changed the frequency some and had the same results if your wondering. So, as I and others on the internet wondered.... a fender transformer would not work how ever a substitute would be easy to track down. Thanks
