  • Switch to move location of wah

Wondering how one might wire up a switch or relay to move the wah to either before distortions or after them. I love my old Vox afterwards as it gives a nice almost Morley-sweep. But when I just want a less pronounced Satriani solo sound or clean whacka it would be better in front—don't need two wah's just this.
    Thanks.

Try searching google for "geofex juggler" and you should find RG's article on the subject.
Or just go to New Page 1 and you'll see it towards the bottom of the article list.

If you use a toggle switch, where the position of the bat handle gives visual indication of what comes first, then you really have no need of the 4th set of contacts for switchng indicator LEDs.

One of these - Mini Toggle Switch 3PDT On-On - will do you just fine.

I've built a couple of dual loop-selectors with an order-flipper switch. Don't know why more folks haven't done so or why there aren't commercial products to do this. So many pedalboards these days are packed tight, and the prospect of tearing one down just to re-order some pedals in the signal path is daunting. Order-flipping allows one to leave everything right where it is (and fits) and do all the tear-down and repatching with the flick of a switch.
