  • Bridge diode for RSQ KA2000

No print/schem. I wonder if anyone here knows the type Bridge rectifier for the model RSQ KA2000

Unit came in with a 25A bridge wrapped around the caps and wires jumpered to the board. I know that bridge is way too big. It's an inline package standard - ac ac + config. I would guess maybe 6A. 25A is crazy high though.

Also found the thermal resistor on the heat sink has a 68 ohm 2w resistor in parallel. That can't be right either. So it seems someone put the wrong parts in this unit. Customer said he bought it used.

    Any info appreciated.

    Thx

Not sure if it's any help, but Sears sells them. Sears used to be pretty good for parts, maybe worth checking.

The amp has an 8 amp fuse in it.

      That may help.

You already know the power input into the load (150W x 2 @ 4 Ohm) so that's roughly 25v RMS. So 6A per channel.

        Will a GSIB1520 fit? - 15A@200v.

          Agree and add:
Why do you think it's the bridge rectifier?
          What were the symptoms?
          Is anything else bad?
Suppose it is the bridge, something made it blow, plug the amp through a series lamp, never straight into the wall.
