  • Techie test bench setup

    Hi folks.
    Wanna pick ur brains.
Ok so ive decided to make way for another tech to help me out in the shop permanently. He's been going strong for a couple of months now. Got him the basics- solder station, scope, psu etc.
On my bench I built alot of things: a dummy load, an audio patch bay connected to speakers, a power amp that can be patched to those same speakers for checking mixer outputs or doing audible signal tracing. I also have a little balanced to unbal converter and next to it a unbal to bal converter for changing my sig gen to ballanced and changing mixer outs to unbal.
Now I would like to get him rigged on his bench so he dont bother me no more with long cables running from my bench to his bench.
Instead of me now building all these things, apart from the dummy load, what would be a great and easy setup to do? I have an extra behringer mixer lying around and an extra power amp, also a cheap little guitar practice amp.
What do most of you use?
Any help and comments much appreciated.
