    Agggh!
    So annoying the way the pots hold the board in place, stresses the pot mounts until they are intermittent or bad.

    You think the board lines up better if you take the spacer off the input jack so the board can mount flush against the chassis?

    You have to be careful that the pots are straight and not being pulled down at an angle.

    Rant over, anger receeding.

    No, those spacers were added on purpose for the board to be parallel but at a slight distance from front panel, pulling them will actually stress the board as soon as you start tightening the nuts.

      +1. The sockets mount further back than the pots, so need the spacers so that everything lines up. Extra parts and extra assembly steps for the factory - they must think they're a good idea. A nuisance if you put an amp back together and forget one or it's dropped out, though.
