  • Looking for a part...

    I need to replace a part in an amplifier, and I don't know the name of this item... It's use is as a mounting point for the chassis in the box, see picture. Suggestions appreciated...

    They just slide over the edge and away you go.
    Turn it up so that everything is louder than everything else.

      The clip nut linked above is common for this application where machine screws are used. With self-tapping screws you will more likely see a spring nut (u style).
      The cage nut will snap into a square hole.

          Check an auto parts store too, they were used for decades in cars and trucks.
