The tube-era test gear, particularly the cap analyzers, makes really interesting reading. It strikes me just how good much of that stuff still is and can retain pretty fair accuracy despite original components. Or maybe, because of original components.

I find myself looking up old transformers in the old catalogs, to get the specs.
