  • Behringer GMX 212 reduced volume ?

Hi I have a Behringer GMX 212 which i am running an electric piano through , I was playing the other night and the volume just dropped , on both channels , there is a lot of hum now when I turn up and it needs to be at 8 or 10 on the master vol to get any sound at all ,

Any ideas what the problem could be ?

    thanks

This amp apparently has been discontinued. Since the problem affects both channels, it's likely something common to both channels like the power supply. The Hum also points to the power supply. Does the amp get bumpy rides to and from gigs like in the back of a pickup to equipment trailer?

Try running a signal into the Effects Returns or Aux Inputs. Are you able to get any substantial volume?
WARNING! Musical Instrument amplifiers contain lethal voltages and can retain them even when unplugged. Refer service to qualified personnel.

At best a guess without more info, but my first thought would be that you lost one of your +-15V supplies. Check them and that they are clean free of AC.
