  • Vintage Korg bx3 problems

Hi i have a first generation Korg BX3, working perfectly except a lil problem i think a pro may find it easily. When all the drawbars are off, and i play key, i heard the organ sound, low but very clear enuf to disturbing. Something like the preamp gain too high or. Something?

    Any idea?

Well, this first. Some guitar amps pass a little sound with the volume controls at zero, and the owner will complain. I have to ask: how often do you play with the controls all at zero?

If all the bars are in, it ought to be silent, is that the issue? And can I assume we do not usually play with them all in? So what exactly is the problem? is it something like 8' is leaking through when at zero, and you wanted only 4' and 5-1/3' (or whatever they are)?
Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

It's been a long time since I've worked on one, but my recollection is that the drawbars are all digital encoders. That might mean that the programming is not correct. Have you tried a system reboot?
