Rebuilding an old single ended amp I had lying around that used to have a field coil speaker that was blown.
So I was thinking of setting it up like a Fender Champ.
Anyone know what the differences are as to how the output trans is wired in the 5C1 vs the 5E1 where the tans is across the plate and screen?
This amp has a choke, so I could do either way.
Just wondering what the sonic differences would be and why they changed it.
