I just placed an order there. They are my usual vendor for Moto power xstrs and similar. They eliminated their minimum order a long time ago, but tonight I noticed that UPS ground shiping was now free. My order was $60 or so, so there might be a threshold I crossed to make it free, but it is worth keeping in mind. $60 is not a large order to them. Other shipping options were priced as usual. Nothing was mentioned as to it being special or anything, so it may now be policy.

In general I'd say Mouser has a greater selection of items, but in the items they carry, Allied has a greater depth of choices.

Cool - free shipping makes a big difference on small orders. And no minimum is even better, especially since no one supplier ever seems to have everything a guy needs...

OK, I found out. Over $25 and the free shipping expires November 30.

I use Allied regularly. Because nobody ever seems to have everything that I need, I always seem to end up placing two orders with supplies like Mouser, Allied and Digikey.

Allied runs free shipping specials fairly often. I last ordered from them about a month ago, and I got free shipping on a sub-$100 order. Their order fills are quick. The only thing to watch out for is that your invoice won't come in the package -- you'll get a packing slip to verify that your order is complete, but the invoice will arrive in an envelope at least a week later.

I've been pleased with Allied when I ordered capacitors from them to replace bad ones in computers. Don't think I got in on any free shipping, but never ordered much or frequently. But the minimum was only $15 I think, which wasn't bad, I could almost always come up with that much to order. Never dealt with Mouser, and I think I got a few things from Digikey and had no complaints, but not positive. I've slept since then.
