  • What is Polarity

I have finally started to get my rack togather.I just bought 6 Boss FS-1 L and U pedals to turn my Delays and reverbs on off and change programs. But there a small switch down there (Polarity) what does it do? how should they be

I don't know the FS-1 U that well, but given that it is an unlatched momentary switch, the question that arises is what happens when you momentarily step on the switch. Does stepping on it make a connection or temporarily break one? Either of those two electronic actions could be used in this product or that to actuate a program or switching/relay change. So, my guess is that the "polarity" switch simply lets you select which of those two actions you want the switch to perform when you step on it.
