  • Best setup for the Roland RE-201 space echo

Hey all: Just picked up this cool little device. Have noticed that the High output setting seems to be too noisy on some amps, not others. Strong guitar signal on that one. The medium output setting is much quieter, but quiets the signal down too much -- once again, depends on the amp.

I'm wondering if there is an ideal setup for the space echo, going directly into the amp. Should I be plugging into some kind of buffer or true bypass device before the space echo (or a Reamp, as I heard someone mention)? Then, is it possible to amplify or condition the line out signal before it hits the amp.

Sounds to me like signal/impedance matching is more recording oriented, buy maybe I'm wrong. I'd like to get the most out of this unit with the least noise.

    Thanks.
