  • meters Extech v/s Fluke ???

I need a meter. or at least as better one.
    Extech v/s Fluke
Which one for measuring pickups? And which models? I don't waqnt to spend a lot over $200 but I might if there is a "must have" meter. Which one should I get?

If Extech or Fluke is your only choice...

The extech 380193 is your meter. It's the 'industry standard' round here, and Fluke doesn't make anything even close to comparable. I wish Fluke did, I would have bought that.

Are there others I should look at? I just need one to measure pickups.

Actually, you will need both. Extech measures only AC properties (inductance, capacitance, and resistance). To measure DC resistance, you will need the Fluke, which can also measure AC and DC voltage and current.

Joe is right. The extech doesn't do DC measurements well, you will really need both.
